The New York State-based Greek yogurt company, Chobani, supported the United States OIympic Team and wanted the athletes to eat the “official yogurt” in Sochi. But the Russians would not allow the yogurt into the country, citing the ban on U.S. dairy products going back to 2010. In fights over yogurt, we find the basic principles of human conflict.

Chobani’s chief executive, Hamdi Ulukaya, told the press, “Nobody should fight over a beautiful cup of yogurt.” See the Politico report and The New York Times.
