Laura Ingalls Wilder with Rose Wilder Lane (apparently), Mansfield, Missouri, early 1900s.

Hi everybody,

I’ve come up for air. I was working very hard the last several months, not only editing Connecticut Woodlands magazine for CFPA and Appalachia journal for the AMC, but finishing my book about Laura Ingalls Wilder and her daughter, Libertarians on the Prairie.

Writing a book like this after a decade and a half of research feels like bringing a new being into the world. It was a huge effort. Now I’m waiting for my editor to finish reading the manuscript, obtaining permissions for quotations and photographs, and thinking of what my next book project will be.

More from me soon.
