Let’s all make a promise that we won’t find ourselves debating climate change without becoming better informed. I am so tired of people I like and love making blanket statements and pointing to an opinion article as their source. We can do better! One of my editors has recommended an excellent article by The Economist. It isn’t advocacy. It isn’t emotional. It takes a lot of the chaotic stuff we all don’t understand very well (admit it, folks) and sorts it out. Weather station records. Computer models. Greenhouse gases. What oceans do. It opens: “For anyone who thinks that climate science must be unimpeachable to be useful, the past few months have been a depressing time.”
